The theater troupe Yesh Lo Milim MiShelo (“Words of His Own”) was established in 1994 and was a pioneer of the Gay Israeli theater. Its first play, under the same name gained much success in Israel, was translated into English and was performed on the Edinburgh Festival on Scotland and other theater festivals in Brighton, Manchester, London and later on in New York and San Francisco.
The cast’s preparations for the trip to the Edinburgh Festival and the trip itself, were the subject of Erez Laufer’s no-less successful documentary Edinburgh Lo Mehaka (Don’t Cry for Me, Edinburgh).
